Active Ability programme

The ActiveAbility Programme has now come to an end of its funding. We would like to thank our partners in the programme; Sport England for helping to fund the programme. Many existing sessions are now run through partner agencies e.g. Places For People or by community clubs/ volunteers. We have had over 150,311 attendances on our sessions over four years and would like to thank all our volunteers and participants for their involvement with the project.


Inclusive Sports Acvtivities

Athletics

Delivered by Rotherham Harriers Athletics Club. Individuals will be coached Olympic style events in sprints, jumps and throws.

Cricket

Delivered by Sheffield United Cricket Club. Our coaches use adapted equipment and techniques to cater for all abilities.

  • To facilitate increased participation in Sport & Physical Activity for disabled people across the borough
  • To promote the sporting interests and the needs of disabled children and adults
